Virginia Beach Goju Karate: A branch of Harlem Goju. Goju means "Hard & Soft" style of Karate, which is a Japanese based style that concentrates on linear and circular movements, along with close self-defense techniques. Renshi Chris Washington is the first student of Master Dwayne McGee, 7th Dan, is the brother of Grandmaster Sam McGee of Harlem Goju Karate of Harlem, New York. Grandmaster Sam McGee taught (and still model for me) how to run an inner-city, karate school with integrity and tradition; However, "Master Dwayne McGee taught me how to fight."
Training hours are Tuesdays & Thursdays from the hours of 5:30-700 pm @ Rosemont Boys & Girls Clubs
Starting ages are 8 and up! FREE with Boys and Girls Club Membership ($20). Interested parties must watch two classes before they can start. For more information Contact the Boys & Girls Clubs Rosemont Unit: Mrs. Debbie McGauhey (Unit Director)
