Conscious Community 05 27 2010

(1) All right, it seems that every year lately around this time, people start planning their Juneteenth "parties" so that they can "celebrate" a false notice to our enslaved ancestors in Texas that they were free due to Lincoln's proclamation. However, instead of us getting misty-eyed and gazing adoringly at Lincoln's picture, we at Ancestral Path are hosting our "Juneteenth Revealed" program to set the record straight about this entire issue. Historically documented, with dramatic play-acting "skits" of a mock press conference between our enslaved ancestors and Lincoln by as he is announcing his proclamation, ancestral libation by our Yoruba priest, a provocative and historically accurate "Juneteenth Is Mis`Guided!" lecture to de-bunk Lincoln by yours truly, positive liberation rap, Afrikan dancers, Afrikan history quiz, music and true celebration of the mighty role that our ancestors played in the military struggle to liberate themselves, are all a part of this dynamic program. Truth seekers, this is for you, for your children, for you friends, for our ancestors! Kwasi kwa708@aol.com
