Also an avid community servant, Gil is a founding member and past president of Young Filipino American Professionals. Among his many other volunteer roles are treasurer of the Filipino American National Historical Society, Hampton Roads Chapter, and member/treasurer of the Hampton Roads Gazeti Board of Directors.
