G&G Associates will be On Another View Today at 12 noon
March 1, 2012
Dear Barbara Hamm Lee:
It's tax time, and on the next Another View, we'll have the answers to your tax questions! Just what is the earned income tax credit? What are the new deductions for this year? How do you find a reputable tax professional? And is there ever a time when you will not need to file taxes? Tax experts Rhonda Hayes and Asar Maa Ra Gray from G&G Associates join us to answer your questions. Plus, it's the story of tragedy and triumph as Lisa Godley talks with Kimba Smith Pradia, author of "Poster Child". It's all on the next Another View, Friday, March 2 at noon on 89.5 WHRV-FM, or stream us at whrv.org.
Another View is produced and hosted by veteran journalist/broadcaster Barbara Hamm Lee, WHRO’s Creative Services Officer. Barbara Hamm Lee joined WHRO/WHRV in March, 2006. She is responsible for marketing and branding of WHRO, as well as community engagement. She is the executive producer and host of Another View, a program that examines issues of particular interest to the African- American community in Hampton Roads, and airs on 89.5 WHRV-FM.
Another View’s co- producer is Lisa Godley, a former reporter and anchor for WTKR TV and WLKY in Louisville, KY. She was news director of WQQK, a commercial radio station in Nashville TN. She is the 2006 recipient of the John T. Hanna Award for outstanding achievement in Media Awareness; the 2006 Journalism Award from the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation; and was an Excel Award Finalist in 2005.
We’re excited about bringing Another View to the community, and sharing these stories with our listeners. Our goal is to provide the African-American community with “another view” of the issues it faces, and the majority community with “another view” of the African-American community. It is our contribution towards ensuring that the gap between the minority and majority communities continues to close.
