Ancestors 2nd Hell Trip

The attached flyer, for those who do not have power point, announces:

 

Ancesttral Path's "Ancestors 2nd Hell Trip!"  History and Commemoration Program, Saturday, July 30, 11am,  in unpaved Parking Lot G to the right of Harbor Park, at the scene of the crime, Norfolk riverfront.

 

This program will cover the little known and practically never observed, but very major destructive history of our enslaved Ancestors in the 18-19th centuries right here in Norfolk.  A history that literally negatively affected many hundreds of thousands  of our Ancestors, but yet, hardly any of us even know of it, and none of us, to my knowledge, have ever paused to commemorate this very sobering saga of a defiled people, but a people who refused to die under the weight of their immense burdens.

 

It is an immensely sad history, but it is also a profound history of triumph!  I am calling on ALL people who classify themselves of Afrikan descent, regardless of religion or creed, to join us in this history and commemoration program paying respect and homage to the sheer will to live  of our Ancestors, who survived the sufferings of the Maafa so that we, here  today, can live and have our being!
