Although, I appreciate the gist of this information and endorse the conclusion that we must focus on survival strategies, or we ain't gonna be here, as some say
"Pan-Afrikanism or Perish!" I also feel that the author may be taking some liberties with his /her information.
For instance, the statement that "Since the recession began in 2007 apparently the already abysmal abortion rate among African Americans has risen by 8-10%" is not factual according to CDC and the more complete Guttmacher Institute's data. The CDC data shows that the percentage of Black women having abortions in 2007 was 34.4%, while the more authoritative Guttmacher data sows that in 2010, the percentage of Black women having abortions was 30%, which was a DECREASE, rather than an increase.
Granted, we have our work cut out for us in order to address this still high rate, but considering the sorry state of the economy and it's negative impact on child birth decisions, to have a decrease under those conditions is encouraging.
I don't necessarily question the other data in this report, but who knows what a factual review will disclose.

Collectivize or Suffer the Consequences
< /TBODY> 360 Degrees of the Black ExperienceA message to all members of Living In Black
Several strong indicators are appearing throughout the month of July which do not make us happy about the near term challenges ahead:
- Since the recession began in 2007 apparently the already abysmal abortion rate among African Americans has risen by 8-10%. If this persists then my prediction that Blacks would become a very marginally influential minority group by 2065 would be pushed much closer. We can already see evidence of what this loss of political, social and economic clout is doing to our communities and self-interests.
- The U.S. is nearing the point of a dramatic drop in prosperity. The forces of usury, which are grasping at every means possible to preserve their disproportionate dominance by even one or two more years, have bankrupted too many families . This weeks new report from the Pew Charitable Trusts further confirms what we were already saying is that the wealth of minority groups, especially Hispanic, African and Asian, is being plundered by the bankers and globalists.
- The IMF is telling the U.S., on the eve of a major disruption in this country's credit rating, to get its act together. Unfortunately, such action would entail measures that make it worse, especially on Blacks who depend on higher proportion of government employment to survive. Additionally, predicted cuts in entitlement programs will further the shift of wealth from the poor and middle class to those who are at the top of the wealth heap in America.
- It's been a long hot summer filled with bad news regarding weather, agricultural outcome, urban conflict, ecological injury, inter-ethnic relations, crime, inflation, world hunger, war and other key areas of social impact. What makes this all more exasp erating is that policy leaders, both in government and without, don't appear to be able to come up with creative and innovative solutions to this myriad of problems.
- The spectrum of chronic health diseases and disorders just keeps marching forth, claiming members of virtually every household on the block and costing us increasing investment in sickness industries to the tune of tens of billions per day.
It's time to bail out. But, "bail out" of what? I would suggest we radically break from habitual patterns and establish new collaborative relationships based upon mutual interest and thriving. It still is a large question as to whether enough of us will get this construct in time to prevent the bottom from falling out of our individual and collective lives. I know most about the work that I do and it does not look like a critical mass of us will make the positive moves in due time. If we could only consolidate one avenue, then we would be able to buy sufficient time to be able to spread our successes further.Still, we keep on moving forward: "A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step"...and then must come the second, third, fourth and fifth steps, until finally we are stepping in rhythm and moving deliberately toward our destiny. Here are two new catalog items that can help us all get in step -- TOGETHER!Reparations: The 7MAC Paradigm - In this 15-minute video, the Conscious Rasta lays out a thorough and well designed platform for self-reparations. This set of strategies is practical, easily implementable and can be started immediately with already available resources. While there is a need for other ethnic groups to correct the legacy of their great crimes against our humanity, we cannot and will not wait upon them to change their attitude to save our group from an impending catastrophe.
