THE NAT TURNER LIBRARY, DREWRYVILLE, VA - Today is “Thanksgiving Day, a enduring tradition in the United States of America. I am in agreement with identifying the day for what the original intent was FOR WHITE PEOPLE. I even agree that they, indeed, had something to be thankful for…
While I DON’T celebrate with Europeans in being thankful for having survived taking land from so-called Indians; yet, I have seen the good that Black people have made of the holiday: many continue to celebrate as do the Europeans even after hearing the true meaning for doing so. But most have different reasons: The best of these is, it is a good day to bring Family and friends together in a celebratory spirit.
I too have come to see and understand the day called Thanksgiving is truly a good day of family gatherings throughout Black America. But since I am still uncomfortable celebrating as the Europeans, I choose to call it different kind of celebration. I have chosen to call it Gye Nyame: meaning “The Presence of the Creator is with us,� and not on the side of my enemies.
I do not schedule any activities on the day itself: instead, as I am more formerly doing this year, I invite Black people to come to the Birthland of Nat Turner on the day after Thanksgiving.

CELEBRATING OUR SURVIVAL
The Visionary for the Kujichagulia Villages in America, Master Keidi Awadu, and members of his Social Networking Presence on the Internet, promoted Thanksgiving weekend as Gye Nyame (find more about the definition and concepts at www.livinginblack.com ).
Several of the individuals who have confirmed to be here this Friday heard the call of Baba Keidi. Though he is not going to be with us in the flesh, some are coming anyway: They will not be disappointed! This is not guaranteed, but all but. We have prepared a delicious meal for the physical bodies coming.
A PROPOSAL ABOUT THE FUTURE OF
KHALIFAH KUJICHAGULIA VILLAGE WILL BE
EXPLAINED AS AN OFFERING TO THE GATHERING
All the food will be vegetarian meals prepared, or under the supervision of Nadirah Uhuru Khalifah. She is the youngest daughter from the union of Khalifah and his deceased wife, Reda Faard Khalifah. Nadirah is an accomplished preparer of nourishing food.
She is the Main Food Preparer for The Annual Presentation of Black Book Awards for Excellence in Black Literature. Besides having the guidance of her mother’s book, “How to Cook What You Eat to Live,� she has benefited from personal instruction by Sister Sharazad Ali: all this is said to let one and all know that the food will be correct.
What will also be correct and in order is the after dinner presentation, Spiritual Food, if you will, about the future of The Land called The Khalifah Kujichagulia Village.
As the 2011 Solar Cycle again comes in the correct season, neither too early nor too late, a Cycle is also ending in the aspect of Khalifah’s life as Guardian of a tract of land usage over the past 20 years: SPECIFICALLY: Man-Up Camp Rites of Passage for Young Black Boys, Camping Out on The Land of Nat Turner Birth, Hiking over the expanse of 123 acres of wood and forestry by one and all: these activities will no longer be available, if the New Owners have contrary ideal for the usage of the land.
WHAT WILL REMAIN
What will be left under the Guardianship of Khalifah is his Homestead of 20 acres, in a smaller, more manageable home space, The Nat Turner Library, The Nat Turner Trail Tours, Sister Reds Peace Garden, and The Organic Food Boxes.
QUESTIONS ABOUT ENERGY FOR VISION IDEALS, DREAMS
Ideals that will now be questionable about necessary energies to bring into manifestation are: The Believers Retirement Community/Home, Serious Food Growing/Storing on the Large Field, and The Land of Nat Turner as a “Place of Destination� for a possible 2-3 million Black people, during the acceleration of Crisis’s that visit the United States of America.
