Let’s start a conversation about fatherhood..............

From: ralph scott social.cinema.llc@gmail.com
Let's start a conversation about fatherhood, and let's begin with a short film titled Barbasol by Ralph Scott.
Fatherhood can be a complex issue.  When I talk to my friends and colleagues about their fathers, it almost always leads to a deeper discussion about life, or expectations or family or simply a conversation about whats truly important.  Some feel a sense of need when their father is not present in their lives, some clash with their fathers in the home.  Whatever the father/son relationship is or isn't... we need to talk about it.
"sometimes, we get so caught up in what it ISN"T... we never get to realize what it IS..."

Barbasol is a film that will be used to open up the much needed discussion about father and son relationships.  It is a story about a man that desires to connect with his elderly father all the while his father is slipping into forgetfulness and dementia. He comes to realize that he should turn his attention to his own son so not to repeat the same mistakes his father may have made. "As the twig is bent, so grows the tree".

I am looking to align this film with various fatherhood and mentor organizations and programs. I want them to be able to utilize this film to open up the conversation about fathers and sons.

Presently we are raising the funds needed to properly make this film. If you are interested in this conversation and would like to contribute, please select the link below.

I appreciate your consideration.
Thank you,
Ralph Scott
Producer / Director – Barbasol the movie
