I hope as many of US as possible join the ranks of those who are marching against big banks whose mantra of capitalism is "PROFITS, BABY, MORE PROFITS" at any cost. It was big banks and their predecessor money houses that funded the euro genocidal atrocities against Afrikans during the Maafa enslavement of our ancestors! It was the greed of big banks that precipitated the financial collapse that wiped out much of our savings and pensions. It is big banks that funded most of the seemingly endless cycle of over 100 wars this country has been involved in since 1776, so many wars that there has only been one generation, from the end of the Russian Civil War in 1920 to the start of the 2nd European War (aka WWII) in 1941 that has not seen america at war. But most of us have NEVER been part of an american generation that has not seen war!
And big banks are still doing what big banks do: making money the old fashion way-STEALING IT from US. Did we not in the past month reveal how Wells Fargo Bank has been sued by the Justice Dept and the State of Maryland over its racist, predatory lending practices that caused so many of US to lose our homes in Maryland? Now Wells Fargo and it's fellow crooks like the Bank of America, Chase Bank and others have been sued for defrauding veterans through VA guaranteed home loans (see link below). How many of us are veterans who have risked their lives for the empire and are rewarded by having these gansta banks pad the title search fees in veteran home loans, thereby increasing the loan amount that raises the monthly mortgage payment which has translated, in a weak economy, to veterans losing their homes due to default and foreclosure? In a separate story, these profit piranha banks have agreed to pay over $108 MILLION to set aside the lawsuits!
So we ought to be marching as strongly as we "Step" in our clubs and our colleges!
